I noticed Arno's tool offers a mdl export. At least I can use Max's modelling tools. I found that I could move geometry seemlessly between gmax and max. I did finally experiment with Arno's modelexporter. So far I haven 't found a way to re-assure max.Īnd, of course, I could be completely wrong in the cause. I suspect that max isn't able to use the paths cuz its not aware that Bob the administrator has approved it. Win 7 is willing to admit that "Bob" has administration rights, yet Bob must click on "run as administrator" before an application knows Bob's the administrator. I half suspect its about administration priveledges which is only slowly making sense to me. There's some form of incompatibility going on.
